Sinitta reveals how she coped with being friend-zoned by ex Simon Cowell

Sinitta has spoken about being powerless after she was friend-zoned by Simon Cowell .

The singer dated the X Factor star on-and-off for nearly 20 years, but she knew they weren't going to last the course.

She doesn't think her buddy will become a dad again because he is so content with five-year-old Eric.

Sinitta has spoken to Closer Magazine about her close relationship with the star.

She said: "I used to suffer with jealousy sometimes, which is why Simon and I would always break up.

"But once you transition into the friend-zone, there's nothing to argue about or get upset about anymore."

It may not have worked out romantically, but they have been close for decades (PA)

She added: "Simon is a really, really loyal friend. We've been friends for decades and he's still exactly the same person - the same sense of humour and everything."

She doubts it the judge will be having any more kids because he's so "fulfilled and satisfied" with Eric.

"I honestly don't know if Simon will have more children," said the star. "I think he's so in love with Eric that there just isn't any love left. He's completely besotted, such a softie."

Some unimpressed X Factor: The Band viewers might think he should spend more time with his boy.

They have hit out at the show's format with many were left scratching their heads at the programme's lay-out after the latest spin-off didn't hit the spot with some.

It comes after rating continue to tumble.

Simon hasn't confirmed what's next for the show with more viewers turning over every year.
