Singto’s songs

Tatat Bunnag

Within the last decade, Singto Numchok has become as one of Thailand’s top singer-songwriters. Over two albums and a number of singles, the performer has won over many fans. His mix of fun lyrics, relaxing melodies and catchy grooves never fails to put listeners in a sunny mood.

Singto recently returned to the charts with the single, “Ched (R U OK).” The song is a move away from the beach-pop sound he is known for, incorporating elements of dance and hip-hop. “R U OK” shows that Singto is a musician who is ready to change and evolve to keep his sound fresh. And his fans are enjoying this new direction.

Beau Sunita Leetikul

Beau (1996)

"This is one of the most personal albums for me. I first heard Beau when I was about 12 years old and her songs made me fall in love with pop music. I remember watching her on TV when she was a guest on Twilight Show. She talked about following her dream to become a singer. That interview inspired me. I told myself that I should follow my dream too."

Loso

Lo Society (1996)

"While Beau’s music made me want to become a singer, Sek Loso was the one who made me want to play the guitar. I like most of Loso’s albums, but their debut is their best in my opinion. The album still sounds fresh today. It has bouncing rock tunes like “Ther” and “I Wanna Love You,” as well as moving ballads like “Mai Tai Rok Ther (Not Dead Yet)” and “Mai Tong Huang Chan (Don’t Worry About Me).”"

Bobby McFerrin

Medicine Music (1990)

"Bobby McFerrin is a virtuoso. He has a distinctive style and his versatility allows him to do almost anything with his voice. He can imitate the sounds of bass, rhythm and percussion, over which he sings beautiful vocal harmonies. My producer Kijjaz recommended this album to me some years ago and I really love it. Medicine Music is sometimes jazzy and sometimes tribal. It’s a truly original album."

Blackhead

Full Flavor (1997)

"Back in the late ‘90s, I was really into rock music. I was always trying to find new rock bands to listen to and one of my friends introduced me to Full Flavor by Blackhead. I wasn’t familiar with alternative or indie rock at the time, but I knew that this was very different from anything I’d listened to before. I even wept when I heard the song “Sanya (Promise).” The whole album is really good."

Bahamas

Barchords (2012)

"Bahamas is the stage name for Canadian songwriter Afie Jurvanen. He plays electric guitar in a unique way, using a lot of reverb. The music on the album is complex, with elements of soul, blues and surfer pop. Each song is cleverly crafted with playful guitar and gentle melodies. His live shows are amazing. He just plays guitar with a drummer and two female backing singers. It’s simple but powerful. I’m definitely looking forward to hearing Bahamas’ future recordings, because I’ve learned a lot from this album."
