Singles looking for love needed to get married to a stranger on TV

Single men and women looking for love are needed to take part in the next series of Channel 4 show Married at First Sight.

The show started in Holland, moved to America and has been running across the UK for several years.

The program uses specialists to match up six couples who meet for the first time at their wedding ceremony - and then follows the result.

The couples are matched by specialists – including a spiritualist, a relationship coach and a sociologist, using “scientific matchmaking methods to determine each couple, who will not have met or had contact with each other until the wedding day”, reports GrimsbyLive .

Camera document their relationships - including their wedding day, honeymoon, and other relatable events of married life.

After several weeks, each couple must decide whether to remain together or go their separate ways.

A spokesperson from Married At First Sight said: “Would you marry a stranger?

“We are seeking brave singles to take part in a unique and exciting expert-led Channel 4 documentary series.

"We look forward to hearing from you!

"Applying does not guarantee selection. All information provided will be treated in strict confidence."
