Strict rules about leaving the house amid the coronavirus pandemic have left single parents facing a major problem.
Like others they are only allowed to go outside for daily exercise or to stock up on necessities such as food and medication.
However single mums and dads may face extra restrictions when it comes to doing essential shopping with rules in place preventing more one person from each household to go to the supermarket.
In some cases shops have gone as far as banning children from stores all together something that can place single parents under extra pressure.
The Mirror reports a single mum who felt she had little option but to take her five-year-old shopping become increasingly frustrated with the reaction of other shoppers.
So she got creative.

MaryAnn Fausey Resendez created a sign which she put on her daughter's back, informing strangers of their situation.
It read: "I am only five. I can't stay home alone so I have to buy groceries with mommy.
"Before you start judging, stay back six feet."
MaryAnn shared a photo of her daughter wearing the sign on Facebook.
Alongside the snap she wrote: "The sign I made her wear cuz I just know some dumb*** will take a picture and talk s**t on social media not knowing all the facts."

Her post quickly went viral, garnering thousands of likes and shares.
Many people also commented on it.
One person said: "I have to do this with my six-year-old son. I’m glad I’m not alone. It had momma feeling really really bad!"
Another replied: "We as people need to stop judging everyone so damn much! It’s getting ridiculous & sad. Stay safe & don’t worry about anyone! We do what we have to do as moms."
A third added: "It’s definitely hard for single parents who have no choice and this parent is doing an excellent job keeping their child safe. It’s the parents I see with both parents there and several kids touching everything, mouthing the cart. That p***es me off."
