A devoted mum-of-three has shared a heartbreaking message after being told she has terminal cancer.
Kary Gomez, 25, has called on her local community to help raise her kids after she is gone.
The single mum said she is scared of leaving the children behind, and is now focusing on making memories that they will treasure.
Kary, from San Antonio, Texas, told News4SA : "I'm scared of leaving them behind."
She said her children were tearful when she told them she was dying, but she vowed to keep fighting.
Kary is undergoing radiotherapy to keep her alive as long as possible.
She said: "I wish I could take these memories with me."
Kary thought she had beaten cancer, after undergoing three operations following her diagnosis last year.
Tragically it has returned, and medics said they are powerless to save her.
Now her family is calling for help so she can make the most of her remaining time.
Sister Jennifer Marie set up a Go Fund Me appeal , writing: "Kary is an amazing mother who puts her kids first and would do anything to make sure they had what they needed even in her time of need.
"She's an amazing person inside and out and we want her to be able to enjoy whatever time she had left making memories with her babies.
"The doctors didn't want to put a time frame on the remainder of her life so whether its three months or three years we want her to enjoy it.
"Terminal cancer at the age of 25 with 3 kids is something no one should go through.
"Please help her make amazing memories with her kids before she can't."
