Singing along to Eurovision's Greatest Hits lineup ... but where's Lulu?

Monkey is practically inconsolable. The lineup for the BBC’s diamond jubilee celebration of the Eurovision song contest has now been fully revealed. While there is much joy at Monkey Towers at the likes of Brotherhood of Man, Dana International and Johnny ‘What’s Another Year’ Logan appearing there is no sign of (standby your velcro ra-ra skirts) Bucks Fizz, Lulu or Katrina and the Waves. Following all the legal argy-bargy and long-running feud about the name, perhaps it was too tricky to get Bucks Fizz. Founder members Mike Nolan, Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston are about to embark on a tour under the name Formerly of Bucks Fizz (tickets still available at Skegness’ Embassy Theatre if you were wondering) while Bobby G appears under the original Bucks Fizz name with three other singers. There is one other notable absentee from Eurovision’s Greatest Hits, which is being filmed at the Hammersmith Apollo, namely Sir Cliff Richard. Bearing in mind the show is going out on the BBC, given BBC News’ chopper coverage of the police raid on his home, perhaps no surprises there.
