What with Big Brother back on our screens tonight, this song seems horribly appropriate right now. A girl (I think) accompanied by an acoustic guitar and some fairly pedestrian flash-animation sings about her desire to be famous. She begins by wishing to be a star of some sort - any sort, in fact. But by the third verse she is happy to contemplate murder. Though the video is not nearly as funny as it hopes to be, it does raise a reasonably serious question: what awful sense of entitlement compels the talentless, witless and charmless to believe they are deserving of adulation and/or notoriety? My guess is desperate loneliness but I would be eager to hear what you have to say.
