Pop star Kavana has revealed that his beloved sister has passed away after a long battle with cancer.
The Middleton singer took to Twitter to inform his followers about the tragic loss of his 'best friend'.
"My beautiful sister and best friend passed away on Sunday after a long battle with cancer," he wrote alongside a photo of the siblings.
"Appreciate every minute x"
Friends and followers rushed to send words of comfort including former Coronation Street star Adam Rickitt, who was in the boyband super group 5th Story with Kav on the Big Reunion 2014 line-up in 2014.
"So sorry buddy...huge hugs and hope you are doing ok," he wrote.
And former EastEnders actor Sean Maguire, who also had a string of hits in the 90s, said: "Mate. I’m so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine your pain. Sending huge love to you and your family. May she Rest In Peace."
Kavana, whose real name is Anthony Kavanagh, shot to fame in the nineties with hits including MFEO and a cover of Shalamar’s I Can Make You Feel Good.

He returned to the spotlight in 2014 on the second series of the nostalgic music reality show The Big Reunion, which also featured the boyband Damage.
Also in 5th Story were fellow pop stars Dane Bowers, Gareth Gates and Blazin' Squad rapper Kenzie.
In 2015, Kav also took part in the 15th series of the Channel 5 reality series Celebrity Big Brother, sharing a house with Katie Price and the late TV presenter Keith Chegwin.
After CBB he snapped up Katie to appear in a 50s-style music video filmed at Burnage Community Centre .
