Singer Dermot Kennedy adds third Irish date in Killarney due to huge demand

Brit-nominated artist Dermot Kennedy has added a third Irish date this summer due to high demand.

The Outnumbered hitmaker, 28, has two sold-out dates in Kerry on June 2 and 3 and due to the reaction has added a third night.

The Irish singer-songwriter will now also play Killarney’s Gleneagle INEC Arena on June 1, ahead of his previously announced performances at the venue on June 2 and 3.

Tickets will for the new date are €49.99 and go on sale from all usual outlets this Friday, February 21 at 9am.

Other stops on his summer tour of Ireland include St Anne’s Park in Dublin, Belfast’s Ormeau Park, Malahide Castle in Dublin and Cork’s Irish Independent Park.

Kennedy also has a spring UK tour in the diary, with two shows lined up at all three stops.

He will kick off at the O2 Victoria Warehouse Manchester, before heading on to play the O2 Academy Glasgow and Alexandra Palace in London.

Tickets for these dates are already on sale.

The Dublin born singer-songwriter has also been nominated for a Brit Award for best International male solo artist.

He is up against Bruce Springsteen, Post Malone, Burna Boy and Tyler, The Creator.

Expressing his excitement at the time of his nomination, he tweeted: “I’m a #BRITs nominated artist!!!

“What a journey this has been so far, from busking on the streets of Dublin to selling out shows all over the world, and then to achieving the biggest selling debut album of the year in the UK by an international male artist..."
