Singer Brian Kennedy revealed he has had a rough few weeks battling Covid-19.
The popular Irish singer songwriter, who is double vaccinated, said he is still taking ‘baby steps’ towards recovery, after testing positive for the virus 10 days ago.
Posting a picture on Thursday of his first walk outside since his diagnosis, he said: “First day out for a short walk after 10 days of isolation since my positive Covid diagnosis.
“Baby steps.
“Even though I was doubly vaccinated it was a rough journey.”
The singer, who has battled cancer in the past, and more recently suffered a health scare after suffering chest pains added: “Jesus. Imagine if I hadn’t had the jabs. Unthinkable!
“I still have miles to go. Thanks for your support.”
His fans and well known friends rushed to wish him well, with Virgin Media’s Alan Hughes saying: “Trooper see you soon.”
Former model Yvonne Connolly, who is the ex wife of Ronan Keating, said: “Ah Brian … I didn’t know that. You poor thing. Glad to know your back on your feet. Sending you lots of love.”
Mary Kennedy added:“My goodness Brian I’m really sorry to hear you’ve been so unwell. Take good care. Hope you’ll be fully better soon.”
The singer has battled health issues since 2016 when he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer.
After years of major surgery and chemotherapy, he got the all clear in 2019.
