What time is the Singapore Grand Prix? Starting grid, how to watch F1 and weather forecast today

George Russell is on pole position for today’s Singapore Grand Prix.

The Mercedes star leads the grid for only the second time this season after pipping the resurgent Max Verstappen in qualifying on Saturday. Championship leader Oscar Piastri will start third, with his McLaren team-mate and main title rival Lando Norris down in fifth behind Kimi Antonelli.

Williams duo Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon were both retrospectively disqualified from qualifying for technical breaches on their cars following checks, having initially sealed 12th and 13th spots respectively.

We are a fortnight removed from a chaotic few days in Azerbaijan, where Verstappen led from start to finish after an incident-packed qualifying session and Piastri dramatically crashed out on the first lap.

Thankfully for the Australian, Norris was unable to take much advantage of his error, finishing only seventh to move within 25 points of the lead with seven races remaining this term.

Reigning four-time world champion Verstappen, meanwhile, is now 69 off the pace in third after winning back-to-back races at Monza and on the streets of Baku, leading to suggestions that he could yet potentially spoil McLaren’s hopes in dramatic fashion.
