Singalong version of The Beatles film Yellow Submarine to stream for free online

A singalong version of the classic Beatles film Yellow Submarine will stream online for free this weekend.

The 1968 animation, which features some of the band’s best-loved music, was re-released in cinemas back in 2018, including lyrics along the bottom of the screen.

This version, which wasn’t made available after that latest theatrical release, will now stream on The Beatles’ official YouTube channel from 5pm on Saturday April 25.

It will give fans another chance to enjoy the landmark film, which mixed trippy animations and a fantastical plot with tracks from the Fab Four’s back catalogue.

Eleanor Rigby, When I’m Sixty-Four, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and All You Need is Love are among the most famous songs to feature.

The stream comes shortly after the 50th anniversary of the band’s split, which was announced to the press by Paul McCartney on April 10, 1970.
