Sinead O’Connor has broken a bone in her back after falling off her bike, it has been revealed.
The star is currently at St Vincent’s hospital in Dublin having a cast fitted to help her injury.
A source said: “She broke a bone in her spine around a month ago.
“She fell off her bike and is having a cast fitted.
“She didn’t seem to be in much pain.
“She had her belongings in a shopping basket and wore a navy hijab.”
The 52-year-old was in good spirits while in A&E.
The source added: “She was just like anyone else waiting to be seen.
“She was very normal and was with another man.
“She spent a lot of time on the phone before being called to be seen by doctors.”
The Nothing Compares 2 U hitmaker confirmed she was having treatment.
She tweeted to her 51.6K followers: “Sitting in Vincent’s with a fracture in my back.
“Did it a month ago and never realized. Wtf!
“Gonna be getting some kind of corset cast thing.
“Can still work though...#RockOn.”
It comes after O’Connor gave a mesmerizing performance on the Late Late Show last Friday night.
She has a number of gigs next month in Dublin and Galway.
