Simpsons creator says the show will continue until a main character dies

The Simpsons creator Matt Groening offered new predictions regarding the show's longevity, Donald Trump, and Elon Musk at San Diego Comic-Con.
Groening stated that The Simpsons is expected to continue until one of its central cast members dies.
He made humorous forecasts, including public celebrations upon Trump's death and Elon Musk's crash-landing on Mars.
Groening also predicted societal shifts, such as America returning the Statue of Liberty to France and children encouraging their parents to abandon the 'cult of MAGA' by removing Fox News from their TV channels.
The event also saw the announcement of celebrity guest stars for the upcoming 37th season, and the show's executive producer clarified that Marge Simpson's recent on-screen death is not considered canon.
