Simplicity is at the heart of Asava's design concept for the autumn/winter 2021 collection. The light, comfortable and casual clothing echo the brand's elegant and luxurious flair instilled by prolific Thai designer Polpat Asavaprapha.
Based on signature silhouettes, the casual simplicity is expressed through one-shoulder tops, cape dresses, cape blouses and tuxedo jackets while more formal looks are offered through the V-neck long evening dress with short sleeves and a brocade long evening dress with sleek, simple lines.
Touches of Asava's emblematic patterns and floral motifs accentuate the basic items.
The design concept comes to life in see-through fabric, printed delicate polyester, cotton and striped woven fabrics as well as more structured and heavier brocade and lustrous duchess satin.
Colour-wise, soothing hues like pale pink and soft yellow contrast with fuchsia and bright blue as well as classic tones of white, black, olive green and navy blue.
The simple designs are executed with meticulous sartorial techniques and attention to detail. These include pleating, colour blocking and fringe accents that enliven the ready-to-wear pieces while masculine elements such as safari pockets, turn-up cuff and elasticated waist render a sporty autumn look.
