Simple touches to refresh your home for the year ahead

Farrow & Ball wall painted in De Nimes No. 299

Christmas is over and done with. Phew. Although dressing the home for the festive period may have been fun while it lasted, we’re sure you’re as glad as we are that the decorations are now packed away until next year.

This provides the perfect opportunity to remove anything from the home that no longer serves its purpose in order to refresh your space. Don't feel daunted by this process as it lets us pass on to others whilst also creating space for something new - it’s a great feeling!

You can choose to approach this with a big change, such as a surface colour or through changing larger pieces of furniture, but simple touches can be just as effective.

If you fancy a bold approach with repainting a wall, then explore Farrow & Ball palette of nine new colours, including our favourite: De Nimes No.299. Or why not style greenery with new pots and vases set against long-standing, much loved items to give a table top or shelf a new lease of life.

Not only will such an early spring clean and rearrangement of your environment make it look different, it's also a very rewarding process. The simplest adjustments can prove most effective, and from here you can edit objects in and out throughout the year as the seasons change.
