Simone Inzaghi wowed by Celtic Park atmosphere as Lazio boss reflects on Europa League loss

Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi has admitted he will remember the Celtic Park atmosphere for the rest of his life after revealing he insisted his eldest son attend the game.

The Rome side bounced back from their Europa League defeat in Glasgow to win 2-1 at Fiorentina, which propelled them up to sixth in Serie A.

Inzaghi was under pressure after a disappointing start to their season and he wasn't helped by their loss to Neil Lennon 's side last week.

However, the Lazio boss admitted he remained blown away by the occasion at Parkhead.

He said: "The Celtic game is a match I will be telling my children about for many years. In fact, I actually brought my oldest child with me because I knew how good it would be.

"Yes, we lost to Celtic , but they are a quality team who play at a very high pace and to a very good standard. There's nothing to be ashamed of.

"The important thing was how we responded and you saw how we did that against Fiorentina. To get a win here at such a tough venue was the perfect way to respond to losing in Scotland.

"Again, Ciro Immobile showed why he has scored so many goals. I don't understand why anyone could doubt him. He is a leader for his club and country. And he's only going to get better.

"Now we have got over the disappointment of that defeat to Celtic, we need to use it to push on for the rest of the season."
