Simon Rogan’s Aulis, his Michelin-starred restaurant in Soho, is to host a dinner on Sunday September 14 featuring 20 of the country’s best chefs, all in the name of Hospitality Action.
Coined 20/20/20, Aulis’s executive chef Oli Marlow will oversee 20 chefs creating 20 courses. Bookings for the evening are being sold via auction, with tickets each costing £20. Six lucky winners will each be allowed to bring one guest, for a total of 12 diners, with the winning tickets covering all food and drink served on the evening.
Each chef will provide a small plate or snack, with a line-up the equivalent to a gastronomic Glastonbury (gastro-bury?). Chefs cooking will include Adam Byatt (Trinity); Adam Smith (Coworth Park); Great British Menu presenter and restaurateur Andi Oliver; Ashley Palmer-Watts (The Devonshire) and the Aulis team.
“I wanted to find an opportunity to do something totally unique, that hadn’t been done before,” said Marlow of the event. “It’s going to be fast-paced, maybe a bit chaotic — but ultimately a lot of fun, and all whilst raising money for charity… It will be a one-of-a-kind evening where [diners] can taste some inventive dishes from some incredibly talented chefs.”

Mark Lewis, chief executive of Hospitality Action, added: “What an incredible show of support. For just £20, not only will guests embark on an extraordinary dining experience, but the proceeds will enable us to assist hospitality workers facing challenges including addiction, homelessness and long-term illness. Every raffle ticket purchased will make a meaningful difference, so I encourage you to dig deep and take part if you can.”
Raffle tickets are available to buy online via Hospitality Action, for one month from today, Monday July 14. The winners will be announced a month before the night itself. There is no limit on ticket purchases, with all proceeds going directly to Hospitality Action.
