Simon Jordan makes Premier League prediction that Newcastle fans will relish

Simon Jordan believes Newcastle "are getting themselves together" ahead of the second half of the Premier League season.

The Magpies have picked up just 11 points from 19 games but have been much improved since the arrival of Eddie Howe, and buoyed by signings in January, could jump out of the relegation zone in the coming weeks.

The former Crystal Palace owner told TalkSPORT he would like to see Newcastle stave off relegation for the fans, but wants to see the Magpies relegated to the Championship because of their "ghastly regime" at the helm of the club.

Jordan has been vocal about his views regarding the Saudi regime in charge of Newcastle United, but still believes the Magpies will be able to pick up points from 13 of their remaining 19 Premier League fixtures.

He said: "They've got 19 games left - of which I've looked at - I think there's 13 games they can get points out of.

"I think there's six games against- the top six where I don't think they'll get anything from; Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea and Tottenham.

"I think Newcastle are getting themselves together. There's part of me that wants that to be the case for the fans and there's part of me that wants this ghastly regime that owns them to be in the Championship.

"I'm separating the two. I just think if you look at it, Newcastle have drawn eight of the 19 games they've played in and there's been margins in those games that they haven't won.

"If they get a bit more of a break in those 19 games and a few of those games go the other way, given the fact this is such a low level of points per game from the bottom sides, I don't see where Watford are going to start winning games."
