Simon Jordan makes Ange Postecoglou Celtic trait claim as he wonders 'what you all about son?'

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan reckons Ange Postecoglou will succeed but claims the Celtic manager has "climbed back into his shell" not long into his Parkhead reign.

The 56-year-old is aiming to right some early season wrongs quickly with the Premier Sports quarter-final clash with Raith Rovers a massive one after four defeats in five games.

Sunday's abject 1-0 defeat to Livingston made it three consecutive league losses on their travels and the Celtic manager knows he must turn it around quickly.

And Jordan admits he expected a different approach from the former Australia manager in the face of some early season adversity, both domestically and in the Europa League.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "I think if you listen to what he is actually saying, 'if we're going to get beat we've got to get beat sticking to our principles', which means the players aren't.

"He will stick to his principles and part of his job is to impart that wisdom, that way of thinking and approaching the task into his players. That's his job.

"And currently he is bemoaning the fact that they aren't – 'if we're going to get beat, we'll get beat with our boots on.'

"I am looking at, because it's Celtic, because it's Celtic and Rangers, it will be micromanaged into very small moments of time.

"I heard him at the beginning of the season, I thought he climbed back into his shell quite quickly when things go against him, which is not the Antipodean spirit I'm relating to, discussing, which is a very broad one which takes on both imposters, adversity and winning in the same mentality.

"I think he will be fine but, ultimately, they can't get beat by teams, with respect, like Livingston and not expect people saying 'what you all about son?'

"There are some decent players there, they have made some decent signings."
