Simon Jordan blasts Rangers boss Michael Beale as he asks 'right direction' question

Simon Jordan has blasted Rangers boss Michael Beale, questioning what he has been doing during his time at the club so far.

The pundit has been critical of the 43-year-old since his move from QPR, previously stating he was not impressed with how the Englishman conducted himself at the London club.

Beale has endured a tough start to the season at Ibrox after being knocked out of the Champions League by PSV Eindhoven and losing to Celtic before the international break.

And now Jordan has questioned the Rangers manager's credentials. Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: "This is the reality of that particular job; You have got to be better than Celtic and if you're not then you are going to come under fire because the expectation level is established between these two football clubs.

"Questions are abound if you losing to Celtic and being smashed in the Champions League and you are not seeming to advance.

"You have got a year in and have we seen anything that tells us Rangers are going in the right direction?

"It's not because I have a bias towards Michael Beale because I don't think he behaved admirably with QPR it's because the body of work after a year tells you he is going to be challenged.

"I make the case that if you have been in situ for a year and nothing has improved, what have you been doing?

"It's not surprising that people are starting to say 'is it getting better? Is he the man for the job?

"Are you capable of moving forward?' - because if more of the same is the order of the day who is that going to please?

"Has he had many wins? I don't mean physical wins, I mean milestones and an indication that everything is becoming rosey in the Rangers garden?"
