Simon Harris tweets 'important information' for kids about Easter Bunny's essential work

Minister for Health Simon Harris has assured children that the Easter Bunny will be allowed work this weekend.

While much of the country is not allowed leave the house unless absolutely necessary - the bunny's job has been deemed "essential" by the Minister.

So if stopped at any checkpoints the Easter Bunny will have a letter from his employer that states he is allowed to be out travelling on the roads.

But he will not be exempt from all the other rules and will still have to wash his paws and implement social distancing.

Minister Harris tweeted: "Important news for children: Many of you contacted me and asked me to if the Easter Bunny was allowed work this weekend.

"I have checked with our top doctors and the good news is he can. But he has been contacted to remind him about washing his hands regularly and keeping his distance."

Easter is just a few days away now and if you plan on heading to the shops you can check the opening hours here.
