Simon Cowell 'shaken' after duo pelt knives at him in dangerous America's Got Talent act

Simon Cowell has endured his fair share of accidents in recent months.

But that didn't stop the America's Got Talent judge, 62, from playing a part in a terrifying knife-wielding act on Tuesday night's instalment of the talent competition.

The music mogul was first up to the mark when brothers Tyrone and Michael Laner, otherwise known as Blade 2 Blade, asked one of the judges to go on stage to help them with their performance.

The knife-throwing brothers had warned that their performance was 'very, very dangerous' - but Simon still wanted in on it as he shocked audiences and viewers with his eagerness to be a part of the act.

The other judges, including, Howie Mandel, 66, Sofia Vergara, 49, and Heidi Klum, also 49, all watched in awe and disbelief as the brothers tossed knives within inches of each other at a frantic pace.

The knife-throwing duo then added a model into the mix as she spun around on a pole holding two small rubber shields.

While she showed off her moves on the pole, the brothers continued to pelt blades within inches of her body.

And at one point, the judges and the audience feared the act had gone 'horribly wrong' as it appeared one of the blades had scraped off her skin.

Following the scary moment, judge and model Heidi could be heard exclaiming: "I think he hit her a little bit."

Thankfully, the brave model was left unharmed, and it was Simon's turn to endure the suspense as he took to the stage.

The music mogul's fellow judge shared some sarcastic words of reassurance with Simon when he was on stage as he said: "I guess it's safer than being on a bike," as he mocked Simon's 2020 cycling accident which saw him break his back in three places.

Other viewers took to Twitter to praise Simon's bravery as one penned: "You would never catch me on that stage doing what Simon Cowell is doing right now. He's a brave man."

"OMG! Simon looks terrified for his life," another echoed.

"This is it. This is how Simon Cowell dies. And we'll all be witness to it," someone else mocked.

Meanwhile, a fourth tweeted: "I cannot believe Simon did that."

Simon told his fellow judge Howie that he could feel the blades going by him, and he admitted to Sofia that his heart was 'going crazy' while he was on stage.

Following his cameo in the dangerous act, Simon gave the blade brothers a massive yes.
