Simon Cowell says he's lost four stone thanks to vegan diet and lockdown exercise

Simon Cowell says he's lost more than four stone thanks to his new healthy lifestyle.

The Britian's Got Talent judge, 60, has been looking noticeably slimmer ever since he adopted a vegan diet and took up exercise.

And Simon, who shares six-year-old son Eric with partner Lauren Silverman, says he's lost a whopping 60 pounds now that he's exercising more than ever due to the coronavirus lockdown.

Speaking on Extra, he told Terri Seymour: "I think I have dropped, since I started this diet a year ago, 60 pounds."

He said being on lockdown has made sticking to his healthy lifestyle much easier, except for the temptations brought on by Eric wanting to order pizza.

Simon said: "I’m doing a bit of cooking. I’m exercising. Funny enough, more during this time as well, sticking to the diet.

"The only difficult thing is when Eric orders a pizza… That’s the number one thing I miss."

Music mogul Simon also shared his tips on surviving self-isolation.

He said: "Most importantly, occupy your mind. You have to stick to a routine. Fortunately, with things like with Zoom, you stay in touch with the world, keep motivated, come up with ideas... I never get this time, normally."

He added: "I was concerned how [Eric] was going to cope with all of this. He has been absolutely amazing. He is still able to do schoolwork, and now we are camping on the weekends in the garden."

Britain's Got Talent is currently airing in the UK every Saturday night.

The auditions were filmed before the lockdown began and strict social-distancing rules were put in place.

The live shows have been delayed due to the pandemic.

The US version of the show, America's Got Talent, is due to hit screens on May 26.

Simon said: "I’ve seen the first episodes now, and even for us watching as a family is total escapism. The fact that everyone’s managed to put this together remotely, I think they’ve done an outstanding job, and the show I am very, very proud of."

The star previously confessed to switching up his lifestyle after a doctor told him he had "the worst diet" of any patient the doctor had ever met.

He joked he was now on the "Eric Cowell diet" because his son loves raw vegetables and water.
