The music world is in mourning following the death of Carlos Marin.
Il Divo star Carlos passed away on December 19 at the age of 53 following a battle with Covid.
The Spanish singer was put in a coma and intubated after testing positive for the virus on December 7 - just 12 days before his passing.
And now, Carlos' ex-wife, Geraldine Larrosa, who was by his side when died, has revealed how music mogul Simon Cowell was there for Carlos days before his death.
Simon, 62, had a working relationship with Carlos after being responsible for putting together the star and fellow Urs Bühler, David Miller and Sébastien Izambard as a group who went on to have huge success.
Speaking her native Spanish in a video to Hola!, Geraldine opened up on Simon reaching out to offer help when Carlos fell ill and shared that the father-of-one even offered to charter a jet for the musician.
"Simon Cowell personally phoned the hospital and offered to help with anything," she said.
"To help him, send him a plane in case they could fly [to Spain] sooner, but it was impossible. He was very sick and he would not have survived the pressure of the plane."
Last week, SyCo founder Simon took to Twitter to pay tribute to Carlos.
"I am finding this so difficult to put into words how I feel right now," Simon posted.
"I am devastated Carlos Marin has passed away. He loved life.
"He loved performing and always had so much appreciation towards the fans who supported the group from day 1. Rest in peace Carlos. I will miss you."
Carlos' death was confirmed on social media by his bandmates.

Il Divo's page wrote: "It is with heavy hearts that we are letting you know that our friend and partner, Carlos Marin, has passed away.
"He will be missed by his friends, family and fans. There will never be another voice or spirit like Carlos.
"For 17 years the four of us have been on this incredible journey of Il Divo together, and we will miss our dear friend.
"We hope and pray that his beautiful soul will rest in peace. With Love -- David, Sebastien and Urs."
