Simon Cowell’s sporty son may become the next Eric the Eel.
He’s so good at swimming that seven-year-old Eric’s godmother Sinitta tips him as a future Olympian.
But if the seven-year-old does take the Olympic plunge he will want to be quicker than namesake Eric Moussambani.
Moussambani was nicknamed Eric the Eel after winning his 100m freestyle heat at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in a record slow time after both his competitors were disqualified for false starts.
Sinitta said: “Simon has taken up swimming and so has Eric.
"Eric was swimming like a fish even when he was a toddler.

"I think he could be an Olympic swimmer.”
The singer, 52, said music mogul Simon, 61, was recovering well after injuring himself in August by falling off an electric bike at his home in Malibu, California.
She said he has become a fitness fanatic and is looking forward to getting his Covid jab.
Sinitta has been vaccinated and is keen to promote it, especially to those in the black community.
She has been holding live Q&As to help dispel myths, and hopes it will encourage her reluctant mum to get the jab.
