Simon Cowell responds to claim he's invited beloved Yorkshire Terriers to his stag do

Simon Cowell has responded to claims that his beloved dogs will be joining him on his raucous stag do.

Reports claimed that the Britain's Got Talent judge was determined to bring his Yorkshire terriers, Squiddly and Diddly, along to the bash in Las Vegas ahead of his marriage of Lauren Silverman.

However, Cowell has shut down the reports despite joking "it was the best story he'd heard".

Laughing at the rumours, he said: "I do not know whether they would like it? I do not know what you would do with dogs at a bachelor party?"

A US associate of Cowell added: "The dogs being at the bachelor party came out of nowhere. Sure it made Simon laugh, but it was really ridiculous.

"Firstly he would not subject his beloved pets to busy restaurants, bustling clubs or parties, but secondly the US has strict policies on what animals can enter premises. It is standard for service dogs only to be permitted inside most venues.

"Whether someone is a celebrity or not is irrelevant. There are no exceptions.

"Simon has laughed about so many people asking him about the dogs being with him, but calls it a 'brilliantly silly idea.'"

Cowell, who proposed in Barbados over Christmas, had previously admitted he did not want a "ghastly" wedding planner for the big day so has taken on the role himself.

He said: "I said that weddings themselves can be tricky, everyone falls out, gets drunk, and regrets what they say.

"The whole lead-up is stressful. It should just be whatever."

America's Got Talent judge Howie Mandel has said he wants to be one of the dozen close friends Cowell will pick for his bachelor night.

Meanwhile Canadian comic Mandel could not stop making a joke at his pal's expense following his two major bike accidents in the last two years.

I want to be there, and he go out down the strip riding his bike," he said.

Fellow AGT judge and model Heidi Klum is planning on piling into the action too.

Klum said: "Yes. Absolutely I am on board. Maybe I can come in disguise. And then maybe I can go to the bachelor party.

"Wouldn't this be funny? As it's a bachelor party then it is probably all guys. Right? I have to go. I have to."

Simon's BGT co-star David Walliams joked about the stag party: "He doesn't have any real friends, so he'll likely invite all his showbiz mates or people he's worked with that he hasn't sacked."
