Simon Cowell makes friends with monkey as he flaunts weight loss on Barbados break

Simon Cowell is monkeying around on his hols as he shows off his considerable weight loss.

The X Factor boss is enjoying a sunshine break in Barbados with girlfriend Lauren Silverman and their son Eric.

And it seems the 60-year-old, who has lost a stone and half in weight in recent months, has found a new friend.

He let a monkey climb on his shoulder while his five-year-old son took their dog fro a stroll on the sands.

The Syco boss also enjoyed a jetski ride with Eric while super-cool Lauren covered up in a tropical sarong and Panama hat.

The Britain’s Got Talent boss has also unveiled a complete body transformation this year, and he’s been showing off the results for all to see.

Opening up on his recent loss, Simon said: “People have said, ‘Oh, he’s had a gastric band fitted’ - but I haven’t.

“If I had I would admit to it. This diet is all about what you put into your body.

“It’s not he Atkins diet or anything else. It’s just common sense.”

In an interview with Best magazine, the dad said: “It’s not hard at all.

"I met this doctor in LA and he told me my diet was appalling and I had to cutout fatty foods and certain drinks.

“Within a few weeks, I could see the difference. Cutting out sugar made a massive difference.

“The first few weeks were difficult, but then I stopped craving sugar.

“I have also found a brilliant gluten-free beer, which helps,. The hardest part is when I see Eric eat a pizza in front of me.

He added that he’s also switched up his routine to improve his sleeping pattern.

“I now go to bed way before midnight and get up about 8am, and I feel so much better for it.

“I never eat late at night anymore.”
