Emotions ran high on Saturday's Britain's Got Talent as Simon Cowell halted a performance from a mother daughter duo who sang to impress the judges, only for them to return and get a dream result.
Following on from last week's show, which saw Simon his Golden Buzzer for young singer Fayth Ifil, the notoriously hard to please judge was in a less generous mood as Honey, 14 and her mum Sammy, 43, audition for a place in the next round.
Honey told the judges: "‘In the past couple of years my mum got diagnosed with cancer.
"‘It has been a tough couple of years and to be here with my mum is the best thing that has happened to me. I never thought when me and my mum would be singing in the car that it would bring us to this stage."
However, Simon was less than impressed with their song choice and, after putting his hand up to bring a stop to their performance, he tells them: "I just don't like the song. But the voices work well together. I just think it has to be one of those 'big moment' songs. "
Simonthen shocked Honey and Sammy further when he told them to come back later in the day with a different song.
They did just that and their version of Freya Riding's Lost Without You saw them get a much better reaction, particularly from Amanda Holden, who loved it so much that she hit her Golden Buzzer for them.
Prior to hitting the Golden Buzzer, she told them: "Every single lyric you sang just seemed so poignant to your story; it was just the most wonderful thing to witness."
