Simon Cowell and girlfriend Lauren celebrate Royal Ascot win with his ex Sinitta

Simon Cowell and his partner Lauren Silverman were among the celebs enjoying the warm weather and races at Royal Ascot today.

Music mogul Cowell, 61, was looking dashing in a black tailcoat for the first day of the event in Berkshire on Tuesday.

While girlfriend Lauren, 43, opted for an elegant high-neck lemon yellow midi-dress that she completed with a cream hat with floral detailing.

The pair, who were without son Eric for the day, took the time to pose for photos before making their way into the A-list enclosure.

They were then spotted taking in the course from the balcony where they were soon joined by Simon's ex girlfriend Sinitta.

The former pop starlet stood out from the pack in a bold blue peplum dress with contrasting orange hat.

As he made his entrance, Simon looked like he was ready for business as he arrived clutching a folder containing a copy of the Racing Post.

The millionaire talent show supremo is a regular at the races and appeared to have backed a winner as he was spotted cheering with the two women.

As well as enjoying his day out with Lauren, Simon was also seen chatting away to his ex-girlfriend Sinitta who has remained a close friend of his for more than 30 years.

Simon and Sinitta first met in 1983 and became an item when her music career was taking off.

Speaking about their closeness in New magazine last year, Sinitta said "There was always an element of 'Well it's never really over.'

"But when Eric was born that was it. I would never come between his family."

Sinitta described Lauren Silverman as one of her 'best friends', adding : "I'm really happy for them but it was hard and caused a fallout.

"I adore Eric and he wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them."

As well as maintaining her friendship with Simon, Sinitta has also worked alongside him on hit shows including The X Factor in the past.

Sinitta was a regular face at the Judges Houses segment of the show for many years.

The show was pulled from the air in 2020 following a fall in ratings and the complications of the coronavirus pandemic with a promise that it would be back in 2022 at the earliest.

Simon has also taken some time out of the limelight following his agonising back injury.

The dad broke his back after falling from the electric bike he was road testing in the courtyard of his Los Angeles home.

He went on to make a full recovery but was forced to pull out of episodes of Britain's Got Talent and its American counterpart.
