- The 2026 F1 season will feature six sprint races, accounting for 25 per cent of the total race weekends, with discussions ongoing for a potential increase from 2027.
- Introduced in 2021 to boost competitive sessions, sprint weekends have historically led to an average 10 per cent increase in television viewership compared to non-sprint weekends.
