Silver, gold stolen from cop’s house

PANCHKULA: Cash, gold, and silver were stolen from the house of an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) posted at the crime branch in Sector 19 when the cop was on a pilgrimage to Kedarnath with family.

ASI Pradeep Kumar of Mahadev Enclave in Vasudevpura village of Pinjore had left the house on June 7 and found the front lock broken upon coming back from the pilgrimage.

Household items lay scattered. He reported loss of Rs 8,000 cash, gold earrings, a gold ring, three gold nosepins, and four pairs of silver anklets.

The case was registered under section 457 (house trespass) and 380 (theft at house) of the IPC at the Pinjore police station.
