'Silly decisions' - Pundit slams Leeds United man for Nottingham Forest showing

Nottingham Forest bolstered their promotion credentials with a 2-0 win over Leeds United yesterday.

Forest's victory means that the Leeds performance during the game - and their slip from the summit of the table - is being viewed with a forensic eye by pundits and fans alike.

One player who couldn't escape the spotlight was Leeds winger Jack Harrison.

Harrison's side fell 2-0 to the Reds yesterday, and their faltering form has enabled teams such as Forest to sneak into the hunt for automatic promotion.

Harrison was picked out by pundits for his poor performance - with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink reserving major criticism for the Leeds man.

Harrison pondered on the ball in the dying seconds of the match after his free-kick was cleared. As he waited, the Reds countered and Joe Lolley was able to steal the ball away and race towards the goal. He cut back for Tyler Walker, who fired into the empty net to seal a win for Forest.

The ball fell for Harrison in midfield, but instead of firing the ball back, he waited.

"This is just a hook, a simple hook it back. Why do you have to bring it down? I have no idea," said the former striker on Sky Sports.

“It's two vs one and Joe Lolley takes it off him.

"You just have to play it simple and put it back, it's the last 30 seconds of the game. Lolley shouldn't even come close to it, he just has to hook it back and the forwards can have a battle.

“He wants to bring it down and, at times, you can not bring it down.

"The whole game he was making silly, silly decisions that weren't coming off. Other players as well, it was a Leeds I don't recognise at all."

Harrison's mistake ensured that Forest were given a chance to clinch the game instead of Leeds creating another opportunity.

"They picked the holes in Leeds. Their (Leeds) decision making was really poor and the second goal summed them up."
