Silentnight has launched a teddy fleece wearable blanket for winter - and it sounds super cosy

Feeling the winter chill? With temperatures plunging across the UK, Silentnight has launched a new wearable blanket to help keep us warm and cosy at home.

The new "Snugsie" blanket is made from super-soft teddy fleece material and "guarantees comfort from top to toe".

As the Met office has issued weather warnings for snow and ice for Britain this weekend, shoppers will no doubt be rushing to get their hands on one. It's available to buy from the Silentnight website for just £19.

Ideal for those lazy days in, the Snugsie features large sleeves and is designed to keep your entire body warm.

Simply slip your arms through the sleeves to warm up without needing to turn up the heating.

It's available in three stylish colours - including blush pink, charcoal and silver. The blanket can even fold into a snuggly cushion when you're not wearing it - clever or what?

Silentnight estimates that the UK's energy bills could rise by up to 18% this winter, so this clever item is a must for anyone watching the pennies.

Silentnight’s Hayley Chaytor said: “We know that many of our customers will be worried about rising energy bills – particularly in January – as ongoing COVID restrictions mean they and their families spend more time at home, be it working or relaxing.

“That’s why we developed Snugsie, our cosiest blanket yet that guarantees comfort from top to toe. The teddy fleece fabrics retains heat and ensures those wearing it remain toasty and content even while the outdoor temperatures take their inevitable January turn for the worst.”
