Signs of spring: Send us your video footage

February is upon us and the snowdrops and catkins and see-sawing of great tits are welcome signs of winter slowly receding and spring drawing closer.

Have you seen any signs of spring yet? Have you recorded video on your camera or phone? Perhaps you have captured footage of a grey squirrel at your bird table, a fox in your garden or a badger at your gate. Or maybe you have shot a short sequence as the sun rises over a wintery field, an abundance of garden birds in your neighbourhood or the simple magic of a beautiful view.

We would like your help to create a short film – to be shown on the website here – of our wildlife in spring. We will take the best bits of your footage, edit it and create what will be a Guardian readers' vision of the changing seasons. No footage is too short and no animal is too small.

If you have recorded anything that puzzles you, send it in and we will consult the experts and get them to identify or interpret whatever rare animal or unusual animal behaviour you have captured.

Together we can watch the results here.

How to send your film

Please send your best wildlife footage of signs of spring by using a file-sharing service such as Ge.tt or YouSendIt and emailing the link to adam.vaughan@guardian.co.uk with the subject line 'Nature video' (please use this exact phrase or we may miss your entry). Do not send your video via a video-hosting serivce such as YouTube or Vimeo, as we will not be able to use it.

Or post your CD or DVD to Adam Vaughan, Guardian Newspapers, Kings Place, 90 York Way, London N1 9GU.

Copyright of the video remains with you at all times, and the footage will only be used in conjunction with our edit of a video of readers' nature clips.
