Well that's it for the blog this week – if you have any suggestions or comments please leave them below.

I'd also like to thank those who helped at the Social Media Surgery on Tuesday – we had a great turnout and already there's a local community site for East Cardiff set up by Keith Phillip Jones after some tips from Ben Bryant – CardiffEast.wordpress.com will be welcome among other Cardiff community sites Llandaff News, Splott Online, My Whitchurch, Adamsdownhere, and City Centre Cardiff (if you know anymore add them in the comments below).

Finally there's good news for residents in Rhiwbina, following the trial farmers' market there this morning, it has been confirmed it will continue every other Friday.

Following the success of the Roath and Riverside markets chair of the Riverside Community Market Association Steve Garrett decided to trial the market in the car park of the Butcher's Arms.

This morning local produce included homemade bread, fresh rhubarb, homemade fudge and fresh plants.

Rhiwbina councillors Jayne Cowan and Adrian Robson said:

"We were delighted to attend the first Farmers Market in Rhiwbina this morning which was bursting full of wonderful produce.

"The atmosphere was truly amazing and it was wonderful to see so many people mingling and enjoying the sunny weather. There was something for everyone to buy and there were tasters on offer. It was great to meet and chat to so many local residents who were enjoying sharing recipes and telling us what they planned on cooking with their lovely ingredients."

Councillor Brian Jones said:

"This is wonderful for Rhiwbina and I know local residents will support this initiative. Congratulations to the organisers and I look forward to attending future markets."

There is also a market in Cardiff Bay this afternoon and the regular Sunday markets in Roath and Riverside on Sunday – enjoy!
