Sign up to the Testimony newsletter for the inside track on some of the UK's most-important unsolved crimes

Testimony shares the powerful stories of crimes that have ripped apart families and communities but never been solved.

Each week, the true crime newsletter will feature the ins and outs of a different case.

From the timeline of events and the subsequent investigations to interviews with families and detectives, the newsletter will profile the victims and ongoing efforts to provide justice.

Crime reporters from across the Manchester Evening News publisher's family of newspapers and websites will contribute to Testimony.

Cases covered so far include an in-depth analysis by Manchester Evening News chief reporter Neal Keeling of the shocking murder of a 14-year-old schoolgirl some 37 years ago.

Lisa Hession's killing was the first murder Neal covered and the crime left its mark on the whole community in Leigh, Greater Manchester.

The team at Wales Online looked back to 2012 to tell the story of a missing person's inquiry that became a murder investigation.

Kyle Vaughan left his family home near Newport and never returned. Three people were arrested in 2013 on suspicion of the 24-year-old's murder but were later released without charge.

There have also been editions from all around our UK newsrooms including the Echo in Liverpool, the Chronicle in Newcastle and BirminghamLive.
