The summer of sport continues this month with the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and you can follow every piece of action with our newsletter.

Excitement is building for the Games, which officially open on Friday, July 23 with a hotly-anticipated opening ceremony.

Team GB are unlikely to match the success of Rio 2016, which saw them pick up 67 medals for their most successful overseas games, but hopes are still high for a triumphant two weeks in Tokyo.

Flying the flag for Britain will be 376 competitors across 28 sports, with a big focus likely set to be on both cycling and athletics.

Previous cycling gold medallists Geraint Thomas, Ed Clancy and Jason and Laura Kenny have all been included in the Team GB cycling squad for the Tokyo Games.

Meanwhile, on the athletics track, reigning world champions Dina Asher-Smith and Katarina Johnson-Thompson will both be hoping to impress, although the latter has had to overcome injury to prove her fitness for the Games.

By signing up to our newsletter, we'll bring you the latest news from each day of the Games, alongside previewing what is to come.

We'll also keep track of Team GB's medal total, keeping track of which British athletes are due to be in action on what days.
