The local news, information and community platform needs people to spread the word about local updates and encourage conversation on InYourArea platform.
Called Area Ambassadors, these people are recruited to highlight the best of their local community; be it updating your neighbours on future events, posting questions to spark a discussion or simply taking pictures of the area itself, they're here to showcase their neighbourhood and act as a pillar of their (online) community.
So are you always in the know? Attuned to the beat of your street? Then consider joining the growing force of Area Ambassadors and shout about all that your community has to offer.
What does an Area Ambassador do?
Share news and reports from local groups, arrange local get-together's (socially distant, of course) like litter picks, respond to recommendations for local services, and more.
You might even choose to start a petition and push for action on long-standing issues. InYourArea's editorial teams can support your efforts with an article and our social team can give it an all-important boost online.
Using InYourArea, you can post information into your postcode feed to be seen and used by people in that neighbourhood.
There's no limit on how often you have to post as an Ambassador, but keeping your area in the know is key.
You'll be in a position to talk with your neighbours as a trusted member of the community with a personalised 'badge' next to your name.
Share what you think is important; share what you think is interesting - there's always someone out there with a similar outlook on life who's looking to share their interests with a like-minded neighbour.
Keep your area in the loop with live updates as you walk the streets and post from the InYourArea app, share information on new local shops that are opening (or closing) and any general updates that you might have wished someone had otherwise told you!
