Leeds United fans send messages of love and support after Rob Burrow's social media post

Former Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow has shared a video of his young son playing football, sparking a frenzy of responses from Leeds United fans.

The 37-year-old is a hero in the city after spending the entirety of his career with the Super League side, before retiring in 2017 following victory over the Castleford Tigers in the Super League Grand Final.

Burrow has since been diagnosed with motor neurone disease, announcing his condition in December 2019, and continues to earn plenty of support from Leeds fans.

Now enjoying time with his family during the lockdown due to the coronavirus crisis, Burrows took to social media to share a video of his son dribbling with a football.

Accompanying the video, he wrote: "I was thinking Leeds Rhinos but now I'm thinking Leeds United."

That led to plenty of responses on social media, where many stated their belief that Burrow's son would follow in the footsteps of his father by playing sport professionally.

Some even suggested representing both Leeds Rhinos and the Whites, which would certainly lead to a hectic schedule.
