'Sign him up' - Arsenal fans urge Raul Sanllehi to bid for Brentford star after goal vs Leeds

Arsenal fans took to social media with a transfer request after watching Brentford winger Said Benrahma.

The winger opened the scoring against Leeds United during their Championship clash on Tuesday night, making it nine goals for the season.

His goal scoring exploits have reportedly alerted a host of top flight clubs including West Ham, Tottenham, Newcastle and Arsenal, after establishing himself as one of the best players outside the Premier League.

Benrahma moved to Brentford from Nice in 2018 and has since scored 20 goals in 74 appearances at Griffin Park, including a recent hat-trick at Hull City.

Speaking after the 5-1 win at the KCOM stadium, Brentford boss Frank heaped praised onto Benrahma for his performance upon his return to the side after the passing of his father.

“We all know it’s very difficult when people lose a loved one," he said.

"We gave him all the time off that he needed to get his head in the right place. It was a very nice tribute for his father. He’s had some emotional days but he said he wanted to play for his Dad and do the best he can.

“He was magnificent in his actions, his touches and of course scoring three goals. It was a fantastic performance from him.”

According to The Telegraph, Arsenal are keeping tabs on the Algerian international, with Mikel Arteta thought to be keen on a summer refresh of his attacking options.

Leicester and Newcastle have also been credited with serious interest in the £15million rated player.

But after watching his first half performance against fellow promotion hopefuls Leeds, Arsenal supporters were quick to make their views on Benrahma known.

One wrote: 'Arsenal need to get Said Benrahma in the summer fast. Very fast,' while another tweeted: 'Benrahma is next level! Sign him up!'

Benrahma has already admitted that his ambition is to play in the Premier League, amid the growing speculation about his future.

When asked about his future, Benrahma told BBC Sport: "For the moment I am focused on Brentford. This summer I will see but for the moment I am so focused here.

"I am happy, I play, I score, I win, it's a good position so I am happy.

"For the moment I am here. My ambition is to play in the premier league. That's my first ambition. It's the first step and then continue to progress.

"If I go into the Premier League God willing with Brentford or ... I don't know but my ambition is Premier League."
