'Sign da ting!' - Arsenal fans spot Emile Smith Rowe transfer hint as new home kit 'leaked'

With the Euro 2020 and Copa America now over, Arsenal are preparing for the 2021/22 season with a big summer ahead of them.

Mikel Arteta and Edu are working on completely overhauling their squad this summer, with a host of new players linked with a move to the Gunners.

So far, Nuno Tavares is the only completed deal, but moves for Ben White and Albert Sambi Lokonga are also expected to be finalised over the coming months.

Arsenal will be hoping to keep hold of some of their star players as well, which is just as crucial as bringing reinforcements to north London.

Emile Smith Rowe is someone Arteta will be desperate to keep at the club amid strong interest from Aston Villa.

The Midlands club have seen two offers turned down for the 20-year-old England youth international, with the Gunners determined to progress with contract negotiations.

Smith Rowe enjoyed a fine breakthrough season last term, but his contract situation is causing uncertainty over his future at the Emirates Stadium.

The Hale End academy graduate has just under two years remaining on his current deal with the club but football.london understands Arsenal see the renewal of his contract as a priority this summer.

Now, some Arsenal fans believe they have seen a possible transfer hint regarding Smith Rowe's future.

A new home kit 'leak' has appeared online, via Reddit, and Smith Rowe appears in the picture modelling the possible 2021/22 jersey. The Gunners midfielder is pictured alongside his team-mates Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey.

Some fans think that Smith Rowe's presence in the image means he might be close to signing a new deal with the club.

jkeefy said: "ESR in the promo! SIGN DA TING", while Kovacs171 replied to the message, saying: "PTSD of Cesc and RVP modelling kits they never wore..."

Other Arsenal fans have been reacting to the kit itself. Artlens2013: "Definitely reminds me of some of the Nike kits from the early 2010s". Ricechairsandbeans : "It looks really good on the players actually. Bit of a weird collar but I like it!".

Kovacs171: "As expected, it looks way better being worn compared to lying flat. The white panels down the side appear thinner and overall it looks less Ajax-like."
