Sign confirms closure of Arnold children's charity shop

A sign on the door of a children and young people's charity shop in Arnold has confirmed that it will close its doors later this week. The Children's Society store in Front Street is closing down on January 21 after five years of service.

The Children's Society has a number of shops across the country, allowing the charity to raise "huge amounts" for young people, with its Arnold store selling books, clothes and bric-a-brac, among other things. For customers at the Children's Society, other local stores can be found in Mapperley, Sherwood and Calverton.

Other signs on the shop front are alerting customers to a 'closing down' sale. Some items have up to 50% off.

A customer notice fixed to the door of the store read: "It is with regret to inform you that we will be closing our Arnold store on Saturday, January 21, 2023. We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all our volunteers, customers, donors and supporters over the last five years.
