Sign Along With Us' Jade Kilduff heralded as 'incredible young lady' by BGT hosts Ant and Dec

She may not have won Britain's Got Talent but Jade Kilduff was heralded as an 'incredible young lady' by the show's hosts Ant and Dec.

Teenager Jade is the founder of Sign Along With Us, the choir who finished second to singing comedian Jon Courtenay in Saturday's final.

To finish second was a brilliant feat for the group as they didn't even finish in the judges' top 3 in their semi-final and relied on the public vote to get into the grand finale.

Sign Along With Us are a choir aged 4-58 from Manchester. Consisting of 37 children and 28 adults, they were formed by by Jade, after she started a class for her brother Christian, four, who was told he might not ever talk again.

Thankfully, Christian defied the odds and joined Jade and many others on stage to belt out This is Us from The Greatest Showman in their BGT audition earlier this year and was by his sister's side again as Sign Along With Us delivered a moving rendition on The Climb in the final.

After Jon was announced as the winner by Ant and Dec, the Geordie duo took a few moments to chat to Jade. She told them: "I'm so proud of every single one of the group. I'm shaking, I can't believe it."

After she gestured across the stage to say well done to Jon, Dec told her: "Jade, you're an incredible young lady. What you've done is amazing with this group of people.

"We salute you and thank you for coming to be with us at Britain's Got Talent 2020."

BGT viewers were also quick to heap praise on Jade too. One tweeted: "I've been a follower of Sign Along With Us for a long time. Jade is an amazing girl. She does so much for others. I really hope she reaches her dreams," and another reacted: "what jade has done for others in the group sign along with us is absolutely amazing."

Speaking about Christian on This Morning earlier this year, Jade said: "We were told Christian would never be able to communicate but signing makes him so happy and joyful.

We're not just a choir; we're a fully inclusive family and we're all so supportive of each other.

"We're made up of all ages and to see that integration is amazing."
