'Sign a Right Back!' - Spurs fans are all saying the same thing after Juan Foyth's injury

Spurs fans are calling for a new right back to be one of the main priorities of the remaining days of the summer transfer window.

The calls come after defender Juan Foyth was forced from the field in the Audi Cup final against Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening with what looked like an achilles injury.

Following the match, manager Mauricio Pochettino admitted that the player was in pain as he left the pitch.

"I need to talk with the doctor now," the Spurs boss said in his post match press conference.

"He twisted his ankle but at the moment I cannot update. I saw when he was leaving the pitch and said to me his ankle was very painful.

"For sure we will get an update in the next few hours or the next few days."

The image of the defender going down the tunnel on a stretcher is causing Tottenham fans to fear the worst. If Foyth is out for a significant amount of time, it leaves the club somewhat short in full back areas.

Kieran Trippier was sold to Atletico Madrid earlier in the month, leaving Pochettino with just Kyle Walker-Peters as the only recognised right back who is fully fit for the start of the campaign.

Following Foyth's injury, Spurs fans took to social media to demand that a new right back arrives at the club before the transfer window closes next week.

Another of Spurs' right backs Serge Aurier is currently undergoing rehabilitation after having surgery on a hand injury.
