Dec. 09--It was announced on Friday that Sam Smith was tied for for the most nominations at the 57th annual Grammys (with Beyonce, no less). On Saturday, the 22-year-old British singer had brunch in River North -- hopefully after a night of celebrating. He deserves it. Here's that sighting and a few more from around the Chicago area:
- Sam Smith had brunch Saturday at Troquet River North in Hotel Felix while in town for 101.9 The Mix's Miracle on State Street concert Saturday at Chicago Theatre. He'll be back to perform Jan. 23 at UIC Pavilion.
- Singer Ne-Yo, rapper Lil Jon and actor Larenz Tate ("Rescue Me") partied at The Underground in the early hours of Sunday. Ne-Yo was also there Friday.
- "Chicago Fire" actors Jesse Spencer, Eamonn Walker, Charlie Barnett and Yuri Sardarov and "Chicago PD" actor Jon Seda hung out Dec. 2 at The Underground. Sardarov returned to The Underground in the early hours of Sunday.
- Adam Richman ("Man v. Food") was spotted Friday at Celeste.
- Rachel Zoe ("The Rachel Zoe Project") appeared Wednesday at the grand opening of her DreamDry salon in Lincoln Park.
- Cellist Yo-Yo Ma dined Sunday at Tre Soldi in the Gold Coast.
