May 18--Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Bell were briefly in Chicago last week to film a comedy. Maybe you saw them shooting around town or played an extra in the shoot? If not, here are some of the spots where they filmed and hung out, as well as a few other recent celeb sightings from around town:
- McCarthy and Bell had drinks Wednesday at The Library Bar in the Public Chicago Hotel while in town to shoot, "Michelle Darnell," which filmed Tuesday at Matilda in Lakeview and Wednesday at US Cellular Field.
- Director Spike Lee and John Cusack, who will appear in Lee's upcoming Chicago film, dined May 2 at Michael Jordan's Steakhouse.
- DJ and producer Zedd dined May 7 at Ramen-san. Northbrook natives and fellow EDM act Krewella dined Friday at Siena Tavern.
- Lots of hip-hop sightings, as of late: The Game dined Friday at Chicago Cut Steakhouse. Ja Rule had lunch at Tavern on Rush and dinner at RPM Steak May 1 before performing at Paris Club Bistro Bar's upstairs club, Studio Paris. Ludacris dined May 5 at RPM Steak. Common and Aimee Garcia ("Dexter") were on hand May 2 for Beard and Boxing fundraiser at Rockit Bar Grill.
- Marilu Henner ("Taxi") dined May 8 at Lyfe Kitchen-Evanston. The Chicago native is part of the independent film, "Imperfections," which begins shooting in Chicago this month.
- Carla Hall ("The Chew") dined May 2 at Spiaggia.
- Comedian Richard Lewis ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") attended the Chicago launch party for the Peach lingerie line Friday at Public Chicago.
