March 18--There have been a few famous faces spotted in the crowd during Chicago plays this month. Here are those sightings and a bunch more:
- Laurence Fishburne ("The Matrix") and Eamonn Walker ("Chicago Fire") took in Goodman Theatre's "Two Trains Running" Sunday. Fishburne won a Tony for is performance in "Two Trains Running" in 1992.
- Val Chmerkovskiy was on hand for opening night of "For the Record: Dear John Hughes" March 5 at Broadway Playhouse to support his "Dancing with the Stars" partner Rumer Willis, who co-starred in the musical.
- Rappers Ludacris and Chance the Rapper surprised students March 10 at Alcott College Prep's high school campus in Lakeview, on behalf of the "Get Schooled, Get Connected Challenge."
- Singer Meghan Trainor was spotted at Vertigo Sky Lounge in the Dana Hotel following her performance March 4 at the House of Blues (Speaking of Vertigo, congratulations to former RedEye celeb reporter Liz Crokin, who hosted the launch party for her book, "Malice," March 10 at Vertigo).
- Jesse Spencer ("Chicago Fire") was spotted Sunday at Three Dots and a Dash. His "Chicago Fire" co-star Yuri Sardarov dined Feb. 27 at Spiaggia. "Chicago Fire" producer Dick Wolf dined March 10 at Spiaggia. Laurie Holden ("The Walking Dead") had lunch March 3 at Public House while in town filming an episode of "Chicago Fire."
- Andrew Zimmern ("Bizarre Foods") dined March 8 at RPM Italian.
- Pop band Rixton dined Feb. 26 at RM Champagne Salon and hung out March 2 at Nellcote.
- Jax Taylor ("Vanderpump Rules") hung out March 7 at Shay in River North and Cuvee.
- Producer and DJ Sharam dined March 7 at Chicago Cut Steakhouse.
