March 06--Stuffed pizza before a game? The Washington Wizards' John Wall did it and so do more athletes than you think. Here's that sighting and a few more from around the Chicago area:
- Wall dined Monday at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab with teammates Paul Pierce and Drew Gooden and Tuesday at Giordano's on N. Rush Street -- where he ordered stuffed pizza -- before his team's loss to the Bulls. Wall lead his team in both point (21) and assists (11) that night.
- The St. Louis Rams' Sam Bradford visited Three Dots and a Dash after dining at RPM Steak Saturday. The Bulls' Jimmy Butler had dinner at RPM Steak after his team's loss to Charlotte Hornets Feb. 25.
- Ben Smith took part in an autograph signing Feb. 21 at Lucky Strike -- Lombard before the Blackhawks traded him to the San Jose Sharks. The 'Hawks Niklas Hjalmarsson joined him at Lucky Strike for the appearance and was also spotted Monday at Chicago Cut with teammates Brad Richards, Teuvo Teravainen, Antoine Vermette, Kimmo Timonen, Scott Darling, Joakim Nordstrom, David Runblad and Antti Raanta.
- "Football Night in America" analyst and former NFL coach Tony Dungy spoke Feb. 26 to members of the Boys Girls Clubs of Dundee Township at Village Pizza in Elgin.
- Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly, Northwestern football coach Pat Fitzgerald and the Bears' Kyle Fuller attended the grand opening party for the Under Armour flagship store on Michigan Ave. Thursday.
