Feb. 24--Gibson's Bar Steakhouse continues to be a favorite for professional athletes and coaches, no matter how many new steakhouses keep popping up in the Chicago area. Of the 19 sports sightings listed below, nine took place at a Gibson's location:
- Milwaukee Bucks' star and Simeon alum Jabari Parker had dinner Feb. 14 at Gibson's Bar Steakhouse-Chicago during the NBA All-Star break. Cleveland Cavaliers' coach David Blatt and boxer Andrew Golota dined, separately, Feb. 16 at Gibson's-Chicago. Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau and Blackhawks legend Tony Esposito had dinner, separately, Feb. 10, at Gibson's-Chicago. Detroit Red Wings' coach Mike Babcock was there Feb. 17 and the Bears' Charles Tillman was there Feb. 5.
- ESPN football analyst Bill Polian and Big Ten conference commissioner Jim Delany dined Feb. 8 at Gibson's Bar Steakhouse-Rosemont.
- The Bulls' Jimmy Butler had lunch Feb. 12 at Bull Bear. Teammate Joakim Noah had drinks at Bull Bear later that night after the Bulls' win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
- WWE Superstar-turned-UFC fighter CM Punk dined Feb. 14 at Hot Chocolate.
- The Blackhawks' Marian Hossa and Niklas Hjalmarsson dined at Chicago Cut Steakhouse following their team's loss to the Arizona Coyotes Feb. 9. Teammate Andrew Shaw had lunch Monday at The Fifty/50.
- Former Bear Otis Wilson had lunch Feb. 11 at Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse-Rosemont. Ex-Bear Chris Zorich had dinner Feb. 11 at Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse-Chicago with fellow Notre Dame alum Tony Rice. Former Cub Gary Matthews was also on hand at Harry Caray's-Chicago, separately, Feb. 11.
